REVIEW: Energy – Walk into the fire

Energy – Walk into the fire

7″ EP 2010 Bridge Nine Records

On ‘Invasions of the mind’, Energy’s debut album, the band crossed the borders of hardcore and punk and introduced us to an atmospheric and surprising sound with a lot of melody. On ‘Walk into the fire’, the band even goes much further down this road. With the inclusion of keyboards the sound is more atmospheric than before: less hardcore and more melancholic rock. ‘Walk into the fire’ is not a bad EP if you are into bands like the late AFI. I like the old AFI better so I’m not a big fan but neither am I totally negative about this release.

Track List:

1. Walk Into The Fire

2. Let’s get away

3. Angels at my grave
