REVIEW: Fire On Dawson – 7 Billion And A Nameless Somebody

Fire On Dawson – 7 Billion And A Nameless Somebody

CD 2012 Degressive Records

Fire On Dawson is a German Alternative Progressive Rock Band who recently released their second full length album ‘7 Billion and a Nameless Somebody’ on Degressive Records.

To be honest, I do not have a lot of affection towards this kind of music. It has more to do with personal taste than finding ‘Fire On Dawson’ a bad band and ‘7 Billion and a Nameless Somebody’ a bad record. Therefore writing a review about this album is hard because I have the feeling I can’t say something decent about the record.

What I mostly like about this records and this band, is that they doesn’t loose themselves in overacting on ‘7 Billion and a Nameless Somebody’ although they aren’t afraid to experiment and crossing musical boundaries to create a sound of their own. ‘7 Billion and a Nameless Somebody’ is a nice album with good songs, good compositions and arrangements and a great vocalist that can write some decent lyrics.
