REVIEW: Razorblade – Days Of Glory

Razorblade – Days Of Glory

CD 2012 Rebellion Records

Since 2000 Razorblade released 6 full-length albums on CD and LP, 2 Best of albums, 1 CD single, 5 7” records, and numerous sampler contributions and are therefore probably one of the most productive Oi/streetpunk bands from the Benelux.

With their sixth studio album ‘Days Of Glory’, Razorblade released their best record so far. The band has grown and evolved in a positive way and managed to combine the typical raw and brutal Razorblade sound with a more dynamic and melodic rock’n’roll sound. On ‘Days Of Glory’ they created a rough, powerful but also catchy sound that lies somewhere between the older Razorblade, Discipline and Badlands.

‘Days Of Glory’ is one of the best streetcore, skinhead rock albums I’ve heard so far with ‘Stormwind’, ‘Long Road Ahead’ and the Badlands cover ‘Back In History’ as the highlights. 8,5/10
