CD 2014 Gain Music / Sony
Jay Smith is a Swedish singer-songwriter who won the Swedish Idol in 2010. He released his first solo album Jay Smith‘ in 2010 and ‘King Of Man’ is his second album.

Jay Smith is probably a bid to mainstream to get any attention here but there are some nice (radio friendly) tunes on this record. ‘King Of Man’ certainly has a varied sound: some Bon Jovi alike rock ballads, some bluesy tunes, some retrovibes (swing, rock and roll, jazz, …) and some Nickelback alike rocksongs. This variation in styles is, together with his distinguish (grungy) voice, the biggest strength of this album.
