REVIEW: Praeludium – Birth

tapaPraeludium – Birth
EP 2015

Praeludium is an Argentinian progressive metal band, formed in 2014. Earlier this summer they released their first EP ‘Birth’.

Opener ‘The Time And Distance’ starts by creating a peaceful atmosphere, although it only last for a few seconds, and continuous in some kind of progressive metal with death metal elements, some kind of Gregorian choir intermezzos and some futuristic keyboard jingle jangle. With continuous changes in style, atmosphere, … ‘Birth’ feels like orchestrated chaos which I personally find hard to listen to even it is only for three songs. 6.5/10

Track list:
1. The Time And Distance
2. Live Forever
3. Apocalyptic Vision
