REVIEW: Barren Womb – Nique Everything

jacketBarren Womb – Nique Everything
CD 2015 Spartan Records

On 27 November 2015 the Norwegian Noise Rock duo Barren Womb released their second album ‘Nique Everything’ via Spartan Records. The album was recorded live and mixed in Das Boot Studios, Trondheim by Håkon Gebhardt (ex-Motorpsycho, Ida Jenshus) and mastered by Alan Douches (Converge, Kvelertak, Japandroids).

‘Make sure you get yr whole head in front of the shotgun’ certainly is a depressive way to start an album and it also underlines the dark and harsh atmosphere coming from ‘Nique Everything’. Enriched with some elements of country, blues and folk ‘Nique Everything’ has some interesting Noise Rock to offer. You need to give it some time to grow on you and when it does, you might find it an intriguing album.

In April the band will play in Belgium at Bruges and Tournai.
