REVIEW: Coppersky – If We´re Losing Everything

DIGITAL ARTWORKCoppersky – If We´re Losing Everything
LP/CD 2016 Uncle M Music

Coppersky is an Utrecht (NL) based rock band who are about to release their second full length album ‘If We’re Losing Everything’. It is the follower to the 2013 ‘Relief, Be Around the Bend’ full-length and the 2015 self-titled EP.

From the first spin, the first notes, the first vocals, … from the opener ‘Loose Ends’ till the final track ‘Hometown Show’, I’m really intrigued by their music and specially by main vocalist Erik deep and warm voice. Erik’s voice takes Coppersky’s melancholic (indie)rock with a dash of classic rock, some roots music, … and a certain level of ‘The National’ to a higher level.

Honestly I can’t stop listening to it. ‘If We’re Losing Everything’ just got me hooked and it might do the same with you. 8,5/10
